PURPOSE:To efficiently cool a squirrel-cage rotor by mounting a rotary shield which encloses the end of a stator coil and is formed integrally with blades at the outside surface, on the end face of a shortcircuit ring of the rotor having an axial ventilating passage. CONSTITUTION:Brackets 33, 34 which support a rotational shaft 32 through a bearing 6 are fixed to both end faces of a stationary outer frame 4, an annular rotary shield 35 is intimately mounted to form a fine gap g between the end face of the end shortcircuit ring 31a of a squirrel-cage rotor 31 having an axial ventilating passage 31b and the outer peripheral ends of brackets 33, 34, the shield 35 encloses the end of a stator coil 5a, thereby forming a stator inner chamber 36 of fully enclosed structure. A blowing blade 37 is formed integrally with the outside surface of the shield 35, an outer fan 3 is formed at the end of the shaft 32, a rotary electric machine is cooled from the outside of a stator frame 4, the heat generated from the rotor 31 is derived of the surface of blowing blade 37, and the interior of the passage 31b is further ventilated. |
