<p>PURPOSE:To decide on an editing point of a video tape easily, by controlling the tape running speed of VTRs optionally. CONSTITUTION:Speeds of an original and a master tape at editing points are X and time codes of desired video parts of both tapes at editing points are Tcx and Tcy. Then, VTRs 1 and 4 are adjusted in phase to start reproduction at a prescribed speed (x), and the current time code Tx of the VTR1 and the current time code Ty of the VTR4 are supplied to the CPU3 respectively to decide on an expressionI. When the expression does not hold, such calculation that Z= ¦Tcy-Ty¦-¦Tcx-Tx¦is carried out to generate DELTAZ in relation to the current value of Z; and the tape running speed of the VTR1 is set to x-DELTAZ to equalize the movement distance Dy of the master tape corresponding to¦Tcy- Ty¦to the movement distance Dx of the original tape corresponding to¦Tcy- Tx¦. When the expression holds, Dx and Dy are equal, so that VTR1 is operated at an (x)-fold speed. Said method is applicable to a system using plural VTRs.</p> |
