PURPOSE:To make sorting efficient, by sorting documents having attribute information such as the number of days having a large number of digits by the bucket method. CONSTITUTION:In sorting, the conversion table between identifiers in a column A and data orders of documents in a column B is first used to convert identifiers of documents to data orders, and identifiers 3, 7, 1, and 10 of documents to be sorted are placed in addresses of data orders of a working area of a memory. Next, identifiers 3, 10, 7, and 1 are gathered in order from the lowest address of the working area. Thus, a required sorting is performed. In case that documents are indexed, these identifiers are used to output documents; and thus, documents are indexed in order of date. |
