PURPOSE:To easily remove a covering layer, by mixing a lubricant for improving a stripping-off property, into the primary covering layer of an optical fiber, or into a covering layer on said layer. CONSTITUTION:On an optical fiber 10, a primary covering 20, a cushion layer 30 and a secondary covering 40 are formed. As for a material of the primary covering, its resin contains a lubricant for improving a stripping-off property between its resin and a covering material on said resin. As for the primary covering material, for instance, epoxy resin, polyurethane, and other various materials are used, and as for the cushion layer, silicone rubber, etc. are used. As for the material for improving a stripping-off property of both these layers, hydrocarbon such as paraffin, low molecular weight polyethylene, etc., stearic acid, higher fatty acid such an n-nonadecylenic acid n-tricosanoic acid, etc., and other materials are desirable. |
