PURPOSE:To feed an optical pickup device securely and intermittently, by outputting pulses for driving a feed motor until the optical pickup device moves, even if the feed motor of the optical pickup device misses the initial output inversion period of a comparator. CONSTITUTION:A tracking correction signal from a tracking correcting circuit 29 is supplied to the tracking correcting mechanism of the optical pickup device to move an objetive lens, etc., performing tracking correction. Further, the tracking correction signal from the circuit 29 is supplied to the comparator 30 as a comparing means as well. If the feed motor 8 will not operate, the optical pickup device 3 does not move and the tracking correction signal from the circuit 29 is lower than its threshold level continuously and the comparator 30 outputs an inversion signal continuously. Therefore, even if the output of the comparator 30 is not inverted, a driving pulse generated by a waveform shaping circuit 33 by the (n)th pulse of an oscillator 32 is supplied to the feed motor 8. |
