摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and miniaturize a transformer producing a high voltage to be impressed upon electrodes by arranging opposedly the main electrode and an auxiliary electrode consisting of wire electrodes and the like in the direction at least of separating from a substance to be electrified. CONSTITUTION:A corona discharge unit 11 is arranged opposedly to the surface of a substance to be electrified 10 such as a photosensitive substance, and the like. In said unit 11, the main electrode, for instance, the main wire electrode 12 and an auxiliary electrode, for instance, the auxiliary wire electrode 13 are fixed to the electrode fixing blocks 14a and 14b while the interval between both electrodes is made constant by spacers 15 and 15 inserted between both electrodes 12 and 13 which are opposedly arranged in the direction that they may be away from the surface of the sensitive substance 10. Said both electrodes are covered by a shield case 16 whereof at least the surface side of the sensitive substance 10 is opened. Further both electrodes are connected through the fixing block 14a on one side and on said junction part of high voltage from the transformer 17 is to be impressed.
