<p>The storage stability of a liq. phenolic resin to be used together with a hardener is increased by mixing the resin with an oil. Amt. of oil used is pref. at least 5 wt% w.r.t. resin. Any oil can be used:- organic, esp. vegetable oil, mineral oils, and pref. used oil e.g. motor oil, cooked frying oil, or transformer oil. The phenolic resin can be any resin e.g. phenol-formaldehyde or phenol-furfural resin. The storage stability can be increased from a few months to up to 1 year and even longer.</p> |
