PURPOSE:To increase the thermal efficiency and to enhance the energy saving effect of a combustion furnace by utilizing waste heat from exhaust gas, by burning minute oil droplets with exhaust gas which contains produced gas, together with combustion air, after the diameters of a part of sprayed oil droplets are made small by evaporating them by the heat of exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:The fuel oil in a reservoir tank 1 is sucked up by a pump 2 and is sprayed into a circulating duct 17 from a nozzle 14, and at the same time, a part of exhaust gas in an exhaust duct 15 is also sucked into the circulating duct 17 by an induced draft fan 16, by means of producing a swirl flow in the duct 17. Because the circulating duct 17 is slanted upwardly, the diameters of oil droplets sprayed into the duct 17 gradually become smaller from the outside, being vaporized by the heat of exhaust gas. Then the oil droplets are centrifugally separated further, and minute oil droplets only and gas are circulated in a furnace 18 to be burnt together with the air fed from an air feed pipe 19. By this method, the oil droplets turn into minute particles while they are heated by the heat of exhaust gas, and the combustion efficiency of the furnace can be increased and energy is saved, by burning these minute oil droplets with the gas. |
