PURPOSE:To make a settled pushing-out direction possible at all times and consequently accomplish highly accurate centering by a method wherein an offset with a definite direction are produced before centering between the reference hole of a reference work and the hole to be measured of a work to be centered. CONSTITUTION:When the reference work W1 is pushed in the direction of -A by push rods 13X and 13Y while the work to be centered W2 is pushed in the direction of +A by push rods 16X and 16Y, a pushing-out device 23X for correcting offset is put into operation by the offsets DELTAX and DELTAY with definite direction produced between the reference hole H1 and the hole to be measured H2. On the other hand, gaps CX1-CX4 are outputted by means of pressure detector 35-38. However, because of the offset, an equation: CX2+CX3=CX1+ CX4 is not satisfied or the outputs of adders 39 and 40 does not coincide with each other, resulting in outputting no equality signal and allowing the device 23X to continue its operation. When the equation is satisfied with the proceeding of the pushing-out operation, the pushing-out operation in X-axis is stopped by means of the stop signal from a circuit 42. Similarly the pushing-out operation in Y-axis is performed in order to complete highly accurate centering. |
