PURPOSE:To secure the stable separation between the luminance and chroma components, by extracting these two components out of a prescribed video signal by an amount equivalent to 2n lines and (2k-1) lines respectively and in relation to the video signals of different lines. CONSTITUTION:A video signal preceding by 1-frame/2-lines to the video signal which is under input is supplied through a terminal P and then applied to 4 1-line delaying circuits 15, 16, 17 and 18 connected in series to each other. A tap is drawn out of the point of connection of each delaying circuit, and at the same time the lead wires are drawn out also from the input terminal P and the final output terminal. Then the signals are added through adder circuits 19, 21, 24 and 25. The luminance component is obtained from the circuit 24; while the chroma component is obtained from the circuit 25 respectively. Therefore the luminance and chroma components can be separated from the signals which have the same swinging direction (+ or -135 deg.) in terms of the burst axis of a PAL signal. This assures the stable separation regardless of a change of phase. |
