<p>PURPOSE:To prevent boiling up of water more than necessity by calculating a required power supply time on the basis of the detected values of the supply water temperature and the quantity and temperature of residual hot water within the hot water storage tank, and automatically stopping the power supply to an exothermic body at a point in time where the required power supply time has elapsed. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that the hot water storage capacity of a hot water tank 1 be Vl (hot water temperature T1 deg.C), the detected value of a residual hot water quantity detector 6 immediately after rushing into a power supply time zone be t deg.C, the detected value of a residual hot water quantity detector 8 be vl, and the detected value of a residual hot water temperature detector 9 be T2 deg.C. In this case, the thermal calory K1(K1=(T1-t)XV) to be stored within the hot water tank 1 is calculated by an arithmetic unit 7. Also, the thermal calory K2(K2=(T2-t)XV) of the residual hot water within the tank 1 is calculated by an arithmetic unit 10. By carrying out the computation of (K1-K2)divided by 860divided by W (wherein W indicates power consumed of an exothermic body) by an arithmetic unit 11, a required power supply time is computed from thermal calory to be actually applied, and powr supply to the exothermic body is controlled by a timer device 12.</p> |
