POWDER ON-DEMAND RECORDING

摘要

PURPOSE:To achieve an on-demand recording made easy to handle and without causing clogging by attaching a charged toner to a recording body being electrostatically flown from the wall surface of a gas conveying path with the application of voltage between the gas conveying path and a metal electrode. CONSTITUTION:A hole 14 is drilled into a part of a nickel pipe 13 and a recording body 15 provided with a dielectric film 15b is set on a metal drum 15a separated about 1mm. from the pipe 13. A voltage is applied between the pipe 13 and the recording body 15 according to characters or image patterns. The flow velocity of a charged powder toner carried into the pipe 13 is set at about 0.5/s and the occupation rate of a charged toner 16 about 1/100. A toner image 17 with an optical density of 0.1 is produced on the recording body 15 at a rate of about 1ms. The image is transferred onto a plain paper 19 with a corona discharger 18 to obtain a plain paper recording. After the transfer of the recording body, the toner left is removed therefrom with a hair brush cleaner 19 and then, the potential thereof 15 is gotten rid of with an electricity removing a corotron 20.
