MANUFACTURE OF BLANKET FOR PRINTING MACHINE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a compressing blanket excellent in the printing fitness by winding a compressing layer to complete vulcanization by an accepted practice after an incomplete primary vulcanization thereof at a low temperature. CONSTITUTION:A paste-like acrylonitryle-butadiene copolymer rubber composition mixed with a potentially foaming material is expanded over one turn of fiber-reinforced layer 2 on an endless rotary belt conveyor with an expanding apparatus to form a sheet-like product as a compressing layer 3. A long-sized sheet of the unvulcanized rubber elastic body thus formed passes through a drying chamber to volatilize solvents in the rubber composition. Then, the long- sized sheet is exposed to irradiation being carried on an endless belt conveyor in an electron beam or ultraviolet ray irradiation equipment to vulcanize it incompletely. Then, it is wound on a vulcanizing drum to complete the vulcanization thereof in a vulcanization can by an accepted practise.
