PURPOSE:To extend precision quickly and exactly, by inputting a source program of FORTRAN to a precision extending function, by contents of a converting table and a control data, controlling it, and extending such precision as a type, a constant, a basic function, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a source program 1 of FORTRAN is inputted to a precision extending function part 3 in accordance with contents of a converting table 4 and a control data 5, it outputs a program 2 whose precision has been extended. The precision extending function part 3 is constituted of a computer having a prescribed program. As for the extending function, there are 3 ways such as single precision double precision, double precision 4 times precision, and single precision 4 times precision, and the control data 5 controls them. As for the basic function, precision of sine, cosine and tangent is extended. In addition to a fixed part (a type, a constant, and a basic function), there is a part whose user definition is not fixed, but it is converted by information which a user has inputted to the converting table 4. In this way, the conversion is executed quickly and exactly, and the precision can be extended. |
