PURPOSE:To assure the loading/unloading actions without damaging a magnetic head, by attaching the magnetic head at the end of one side of a pair of loading/unloading arms which are supported by a fulcrum via a gimbal, and providing the bearings opposite to each other at the other end of the arms respectively. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder is driven, and a shaft 20 is put with pressure into the position between the bearings 19. The right sides of a pair of loading/unloading arms 14 are separated from each other since the arms 14 are supported at a fulcrum 16. The left gimbal 13 is moved toward the right gimbal 13 against the force of a spring 18, and a CSS head 12 is loaded to a magnetic disk 11. On the contrary, if the bearing 20 is pulled back from the position between the bearings 19, the gimbals 13 are separated from each other by the spring 18. This separating action is stopped by a stopper 17 provided at the position near the bearing 19. Thus a magnetic head is unloaded. |
