PURPOSE:To form high color development density in a short time by processing a silver halide color photographic sensitive material provided with a silver halide emulsion layer containing a color coupler, after imagewise exposure, within a prescribed developing time with a color developing solution in the presence of a specified compound. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide color photographic sensitive material provided on a reflective support with at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a color coupler is imagewise exposed and color developed with a color developing solution containing substantially no benzyl alcohol within a developing time of <=2min30sec in the presence of the compound represented by formula I in which R1 is H, hydroxy, optionally substituted amino or such alkyl, or the like; each of R2-R5 is H, optionally substituted alkyl, or such aralkyl, or the like; R6 is H, halogen, hydroxy, optionally substituted alkyl, or the like; and n is 1 or 2.
