Method of storing digitised signals and circuit arrangement for carrying out the method

A method of storing digitised signals is described, in which the signal values are sampled and initially recorded as words comprising binary signal elements. Subsequently, certain binary signal elements of the words are combined to form multi-bit sampled values and, after digital/analog conversion, in a way corresponding to the multi-bit scanned value, are recorded on a customary wide-band storage medium as quantisisingly graded signals with adequately broad grading with respect to interference signals. A video recorder may be used as the wide-band storage medium.
