摘要 PURPOSE:To make a specific range binary for level change and make a high- gradation digital data processing possible, by using a proper threshold value, which is obtained by providing a threshold value discriminating circuit, to make image pickup data binary. CONSTITUTION:A recognition object 1 is converted to image pickup data by an image pickup system 2. Image pickup data is inputted to a threshold value discriminating circuit 3 to obtain a threshold value used in a binary circuit 4. This obtained threshold value is inputted to the circuit 4 and is used to make image pickup data, which is obtained by the image pickup system 2, binary in the circuit 4. Binary data obtained by the circuit 4 is inputted to a recognizing logic system 5, and the recognition processing is performed. In the circuit 3, the relation between the counted value of a binary counter and the threshold value is determined preliminarily to obtain a required slice level. Thus, high-gradation binary data of the recognition object is obtained.
