The invention relates to a laser resonator having two mutually opposite resonator mirrors (4, 5) which for the purpose of thermal stabilisation of the resonator, are arranged directly on the end-side, ground and optically polished end faces (2, 3) of a block-shaped carrier (1), which consists of a glass-ceramic material. The invention is suitable for laser resonators in general, and in particular for CO2 lasers. <IMAGE>
