PURPOSE:To simplify the wiring to extract the output voltage, by providing plural Hall elements containing a rare earth element, a transistion metal and an amorphous alloy magnetic film between magnetic poles and reducing the composition ratio less than the compensating composition ratio. CONSTITUTION:A transition metal like Fe, Co, etc. and a rare earth metal like Gd, Tb, etc. are vapor-deposited on a substrate 1 as evaporating sources A and B respectively. Thus a vertical magnetic film 2 of an amorphous alloy is formed. In this case, a Hall element 2 whose density and reluctance force vary to 2'' from 2' by a compensating method is obtained in terms of the alloy ratio between Ge and Fe. Then a front gap 5 is formed between magnetic cores 3 and 3' via rear gaps 4 and 4'. Thus a Hall effect type magnetic head is obtained. The Hall output voltages of the Hall elements 2 and 2' show the opposite polarities to each other. As a result, the connection between Hall elements is simplified. Then no complicated wiring is needed to extract the output voltage for a magnetic head. |
