A castor retaining assembly 10 comprising a tube insert 12 inserted in an open end of a tubular metal strut 14. A castor spigot 16 is passed through two apertures 20 and 22 in walls 24 and 26 of the strut 14 and is held by a split tube 30 forming part of the tube insert 12. The insertion of the spigot 16 completely through the strut 14 provides a structurally stable arrangement and ensures that the spigot 16 is securely held against movement reduced by forces applied sideways. A decorative cover 18 is a snap fit on the strut 14 and has a flange 50 which abuts a protruding end of the spigot 16 to locate the cover 18 on the strut 14. <IMAGE> |
