Mixture of solids and gases, resulting in a product of low density which floats on inflammable liquids. In the case of fire, when used on the fire places itself between the fuel and the flame and separates one from the other. Since these are iced or cold they eliminate or reduce considerably the production of gases which emanate from the surface of the liquid and reduce the size of the fire. Since these are volatile at the temperature of the surface of the liquid in flame they produce a non-combustible cloud which suffocates the fire.
