<p>For producing hose lines with branches, as are required for example for the cooling system on motor vehicle engines, the generally smaller side hose is fitted in the vulcanisable raw state into a punched hole of the line hose and is bonded to the latter in an adhering manner at the same time as final vulcanising is carried out. According to known proposals, an improved pressure-resistant union is achieved by reinforcing the bonding area with fabric overlays. According to the invention, the precisely cut-to-size end face of the side hose is covered by a bearing ring of vulcanisable rubber. As a consequence of this, in the finished-vulcanised branch, the otherwise exposed reinforcing liners of the side hose are sealed off from the flow medium and consequently protected against the seeping-in of liquid particles having a corrosive effect in the long term.</p> |
