The relay has a box-shaped housing (1, 2), a separating wall which is integrally formed on the base body separating the coil space (4) from the contact space (5). A contact slide (10), which engages by means of side projections in an overlapping manner like a labyrinth with the separating wall (3) of the base body, operates a bridge contact (13, 16, 18) as a result of which large contact separations and reliable separation of the contacts from the coil space are produced. The relay is thus suitable for switching large currents. <IMAGE>
