A device for removing the connecting webs after the separation of split clinkers is described. Here, it is proposed to use a transport device with conveying chains and lateral straps which project beyond the bottom plates lying on the chains, and to use a further transport device with conveying chains and lateral straps which are lower than the bottom plates, and to use a third transport device which is narrower than the two aforesaid transport devices and which engages in them in such a way that the distance between the first two transport devices is bridged and the bottom plates are conveyed further after the brushing operation.
