PURPOSE:To improve heat treating efficiency markedly and to prevent the loss of heat energy by detecting the temp. of materials to be heated which pass in upper and lower one step through the inside of a heating furnace just prior to the holding zone and regulating the conveying speed of the materials to be heated. CONSTITUTION:Materials to be heated are placed in upper and lower one array on a conveyor 3, and are conducted from the inlet 4 of a heating furnace 1 to a preheating zone 5 and a heating zone 6 by the traveling of the conveyor. The materials are heated thoroughly in the respective zones, by which the surface colors are changed. Just before the holding zone 7, the temp. is detected with a temp. detector 10 for the materials to be heated and is transmitted to an electrical control device 9. If the temp. signal from the detector 10 is approximately the same as the set temp., the device 9 leaves a driving device 11 intact so that the conveyor 3 is run at the same speed. When the temp. signal from the detector 10 is higher than or lower than the set temp., the traveling speed of the conveyor 3 is decreased or increased accordingly. |
