The drive apparatus is improved to smoothy rotate an induction motor in the range of low torque and low velocity. The primary frequency direction signal(VF) generating means generates signal VF by adding the determined velocity signal(±Vso) and the real velocity(VN) of the motor, and the primary voltage direction signal(VE) generating means consists of an analog multiplier that generates signal VE by multiplying the selectively defined output(Vs) of an amplitude control means by the direction signal VF.
