PURPOSE:To detect the degree of abrasion of bearings by providing a pair of sensors facing to each other radially in relation to the rotating center of a rotor on the fixed side and by providing a sensed object corresponding to these sensors on the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A pair of sensors 17, 18 are arranged on a vertical frame 9 so as to face to each other radially on the same radius in relation to the rotating center X-Y. A single mark 19 as a sensed object is arranged on the same radius as the sensors in relation to the rotating center X-Y. When bearings 6, 7 are abraded, the rotating center is deviated from the normal rotating center P to Q. Therefore, during the rotation of the rotor, a difference is detected between the time required for a mark M to be sensed by one sensor A then by the other sensor B and the time required for a mark M to be sensed by the sensor B then by the sensor A, thereby the degree of abrasion can be detected by means of the detected quantity. |
