PURPOSE:To make exchange and replenishment of a liquid carrier easy and rapid, by putting a cartridge made liquid-tight into a rigid case, and applying an external force to the cartridge to deliver the liquid carrier to a separation column. CONSTITUTION:Positive rotational motion is transmitted to a connection mechanism 2, reduced in speed, and propagated to a shaft 3. This shaft 3 converts rotational motion into linear motion, and moves slowly in the positive direction to push the piston 5b of a cartridge 5 at a constant speed. A liquid carrier 5d in the cartridge 5 is sent to a separation column 7 through an outlet 5c, the outlet 4a of a rigid case 4, and a tube 6. At that time, the cylinder 5a is expanded, and pressed to the inside of the case 4. This expansion is stabilized in a constant state immediately after the start of motion of the shaft 3, and the liquid 5d is fed always in a constant-speed smooth flow to the column 7. |
