PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized cam cylinder with a precise action composed of a piston performing reciprocating and rotating motions by arranging the first magnet pieces near driving fluid suction/discharge ports of a cylinder and by arranging the second magnet pieces on the outer periphery opposing to the first magnet pieces. CONSTITUTION:The first permanent magnets 4, 5 are arranged at an equal distance on the circumference near the air suction port 2 and the discharge port 3 of a cylinder 1. In addition, similar permanent magnets 9 are arranged on the outer periphery 8 of a piston 7 in the cylinder 1. The piston 7 is connected to the cylinder end face 10 with a spring 11 and also is fixed to a rod 14 in one body. When the rod 14 is rotated by an outside force so that magnets 4, 8 are placed at a displaced state by about 45 deg. from that shown in the figure, the piston 7 is moved to the right by means of the recovery force of the spring 11, then the magnets 8 are moved to the position opposing to the magnets 5. When the rod 14 is again rotated, the piston is returned to its original position by the tensile recovery force of the spring 11. |
