PURPOSE:To observe information by making lines of sight conform, by providing two systems consisting of a display system for light-guiding a prescribed deflection component to a display device and executing an information display, and an image pickup system for making only a polarization component being orthogonal to the prescribed deflection component transmit or reflect by an optical splitter, light-guiding it to an image pickup device, and photographing it. CONSTITUTION:With respect to a luminous flux from a light source 1, a display system reflects a vertical polarization by an optical splitter 4, makes it incident on a display device 3, and displays image information which is transmitted from the other party side of a television converser. Subsequently, in an image pickup system, a luminous flux from the television converter 5 is made incident on the display device 3, and a vertical polarization is modulated to match a display image of the display device 3, and thereafter, reflected to the display use light source 1 side by the optical splitter 4. On the other hand, a parallel polarization passes through without being modulated at all by the display device 3, and passes through the optical splitter 4 and made incident on an image pickup device 2. In this way, the television converser can observe the display device 3 by seeing a direction of the image pickup device 2.
