PURPOSE:To easily measure the elongation of a belt by putting a pair of magnetic marks spaced from each other on both end overlap portions of a steel cord of a conveyer belt to count pulses generated between a pair of magnetic marks detected by a magnetic sensor. CONSTITUTION:A pair of magnetic marks 16, 18 are put on a steel cord overlap portion of an endless conveyer belt 14 at a predetermined length L1 from each other. A detector 20 is brought into contact with a running conveyer belt 14 to rotate a roller 28 at the same peripheral speed as the belt 14, and generate a pulse at every predetermined length of the belt 14. A magnetic sensor 22 is adapted to detect the magnetic marks 16, 18 out of contact. After that, an arithmetic unit 24 counts the number of pulses generated between the detected magnetic marks 16, 18 at a display portion 30, and magnetization substance is displayed corresponding to the magnetic marks 16, 18 by a printer 32. Thus, the elongation of the belt can be measured easily without stopping the belt 14. |
