PURPOSE:To improve convenience of use in a paper feeder used with a separating pawl and used for a copying machine or the like, by utilizing the movement of a cassette at its mounting and moving a position of a feed roller in accordance with size of paper. CONSTITUTION:If a cassette (A) is inserted into a cassette mounting part 2 to the direction of an arrow head A, a pin 18 is adapted to one end part 13b of a rack 13 and moved to the direction of an arrow head B with the cassette A to rotate a gear 5. In this way, a rudder chain 6 is moved to move blocks 7, 7' holding feed rollers 9, 9' to a mutually separating direction. Here a moving amount of the rollers 9, 9' becomes a value in proportion to a moving amount of the rack 13, if the pin 18 is mounted to a mounting position in accordance with paper size in one side wall 16 of the cassette A, the rollers 9, 9' are adjustably moved to a position corresponding to the paper size. That is, the pin 18 is provided to the rear side (front side) of a cassette insertion direction for small (large) paper size. |
