SPARE TYRE SUPPORTING STRUCTURE FOR CAR

摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce the vibration and the noise of a chassis by fixing a spare tyre to a floor panel through a resilient member while separating its outercircumferential section from the floor panel and supporting to the chassis as a dynamic damper. CONSTITUTION:Since a spare tyre 4 is supported by a resilient member 5 under the state where its outercircumferential section 4b is separated from the bottom of a containing section 2, it will vibrate with the inherent vibration different from that of the chassis. Consequently is will function as a dynamic damper to damp the vibration of the chassis, thereby the vibration of the chassis is suppressed to reduce the low noise while the up-down vibration of a handle is reduced resulting in the improvement of the steering performance.
