<p>PURPOSE:To detect a position of jammed sheets wherever the sheet causes a jam in a paper sheet feeder equipped with at least three feed means, by forming a distance between the neighboring feed means smaller than a length of the fed sheet in its feed direction. CONSTITUTION:An aperture card feeder in a microfilm enlarge printer is operated such that an aperture card 2 in a hopper 82 is taken out by a separator roller 85 arranged in a card feed port 82a of the hopper 82 and fed between under pressure laminated glass plates 93, 93a via between double feed detector rollers 86, 102 and between the first feed roller 88 and the first pinch roller 89. Then the card 2 is fed out via between the second feed roller 94 and the second pinch roller 95. Here a distance between the rolls 85, 88 and the rolls 88, 94 is formed smaller than a length of the card 2 in its feed direction to surely detect a jam by the first and second detector elements 91, 104.</p> |
