PURPOSE:To obtain highly precise clad products which have metallic streaks press-contacted on base material at high yield by allowing a base material guide to employ an unfixed roll type, and bringing the guide into contact with one side edge through rolling and following up variation of the base material. CONSTITUTION:The titled guide consists of a side roll 5 which rotates in contact with one side edge of the base material 2, a guide base plate 7, and a means for pressing the base plate 7 so that the roll 5 comes into contact with one side edge of the base material 2 all the time. Said base plate 7 is movable in widthwise directions of the base material 2 and the roll 5 and a grooved roll 6 are fixed. This guide superposes a streak 3 of the clad material on the base material 2 and press-contacting by cold or hot rolling is carried out to obtain highly precise clad products at high yield. |
