PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for any reinforcing material and to simplify the work as compared to arc welding by welding trough-like runners and trough- like studs by means of a portable electric spot welder which is applied with prescribed modification. CONSTITUTION:A terminal 7 for outside contact which is mounted to the end part of one arm rod 8 attached to a portable electric spot welder B is formed linear. A terminal 3 for inside contact to be mounted to the preceding end part of the other arm rod 6 is formed of a front piece and a rear piece. The front piece is formed so as to engage with the trough-like rod of a runner 1 and a stud 2 freely slidably, and the rear piece is mounted to the rod 6. The terminal 3 is put in contact with the inner side in the weld zone between the runner 1 and the stud 2, and the terminal 7 is placed to face the same from the outer side. The operator turns the operating switch 15 of the welder B on to start spot welding. Thus the need for reinforcing material is eliminated and the work is simplified. |
