PURPOSE:To compose a beam with high power energy of split beams of light with small energy by irradiating a spectral element having plural reflecting surfaces with a beam and thus splitting the beam, and making split beams of light reflected in prescribed directions into one beam. CONSTITUTION:The peak of the spectral element 4 in a regular pyramid shape is irradiated with a beam of laser, etc., having a prescribed diameter. Then the beam B is split equally and reflected in prescribed directions according to angles of inclination of respective surfaces of the spectral element 4. Split beams B1, B2, and B3 of light are further reflected by reflecting mirror 6 in a prescribed direction and supplied to modulators 2, whose outputs are changed in direction by reflecting mirror 7 again to illuminate a multiplexing element 5, thereby emitting one composite beam. |
