A method and apparatus for bending an elongated pisce, wherein the piece is fed to and held by feeding rolls and bending rolls which are spaced from each other, the piece is bent by displacing the bending rolls in directions perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the piece and is twisted by rotating the bending rolls about the longitudinal axis of the piece.
