PURPOSE:To make the mass production of a super thin-make battery attainable, by pressing a positive black mix in space between a beltlike porous metal supporting body and a separator and thereby turning it into a sheet form, while stamping out the sheet according to the desired size. CONSTITUTION:Cupric oxide, acethylene black as a conductive material and polytetrafluoroethylene as a bonding agent in water dispersion are mixed at a rate of 100:3:9 in weight percentage respectively, and when a kneaded black mix 7 is charged in a porous metal supporting body combining functions of both reinforcement for a positive pole and current collection or an expanded metal 8 of nickel in this case, by means of rollers 9 and 10, a separator 11 comprising a porous film made of polypropylene is simultaneously pressed closely to the surface of the opposite side of the supporting body 8. With this method, the positive black mix as in a sheet form sandwiched between the supporting body and the separator can be obtained easily and continuously so that there are following advantages that handling is so facile and the process of work can be much simplified toward the subsequent assembling job. |
