PURPOSE:To enable to operate an electromagnetic coupler without noise nor frictional loss by composing the coupler in non contact type. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage is applied to an electromagnetic coil 13, magnetic flux passes through a field core 12, a fan pulley 1, outer poles A1, A2, iner poles B1, B2, and a fan pulley 1 of an input rotary member and a fan 4 integral with the fan boss 3 of an output rotary member are integrally rotated. When an overload is generated, relative speed difference is produced between the input rotary member and the output rotary member against magnetically attracting or repelling force produced between the outer poles and the inner poles, causing the phase to be displaced, but no frictional loss nor burnout loss occur. The outer poles A1, A2, inner poles B1, B2 are alternately arranged in an axial direction, thereby obtaining strong magnetically attracting or repelling force. |
