PURPOSE:To cool the bearing on a flange side by a construction wherein a plurality of vent ports in communication with a vacant chamber formed between a bearing bracket on the flange side and the machine are bored, and several obstacles are provided on the oute fan side with respect to some vent ports so as to interrupt the flow of cooling air. CONSTITUTION:Brackets 5, 6 are provided at both end faces of a frame 1 to support a rotary shaft 4 through bearings 2, 3, and a flange 5c coupled with the machine is provided to extend outward from the outer periphery of the bracket 5 through a cylindrical part 5b having plural vent ports 5a formed therein. An outer fan 7 is attached to the end of the rotary shaft 4 projecting outward from the bracket 6. Then, on the outer fan 7 sde with respect to some vent ports, several obstacles 21b are provided to partially interrupt the flow of cooling air from the outer fan 7. By so doing, dynamic pressure of the cooling air passing outside of the vent ports 5a in the substantially axial direction causes air within the vacant chamber 8 to be suctioned toward the outside through the vent ports 5a, and at the same time air flows into the vacant chamber 8 through the vent ports at which the obstacles 21b are provided, so that the bearing 2 on the flange 5c side can be cooled. |
