PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a host computer during an input/output instruction and an input/output interruption, by writing the data on a main storage to a number of external storage devices with just an input/output instruction of one time. CONSTITUTION:A report on the end of a seek is informed to an input/output controller 1 from a disk device 9a via a device interface 3. Thus the controller 1 requests the next command to a host computer and writes a data of a quantity designated by a control command parameter to the device 9a. In this case, a check code produced at an ECC control device 7 is also written in addition to the data given from the main storage for each sector. When the writing operation is over, a head is positioned again at a physical position designated by the device 9a. The data which is written immediately before the end of the writing operation is read out to a data buffer 6. In this case, a processor 5 gives an indication to a transfer control circuit 12 to avoid executing the transfer of data to the host computer. |
