PURPOSE:To facilitate the proofreading of an erroneous area with use of a file, by securing the continuation of editing by writing assurance data alloted with retrieving key information to the file in case an error is detected when the character data is read. CONSTITUTION:The character data 1A read after an error is detected are all written to a file 2 in order to produce assurance data 2E by allotting the retrieving key information 2B-3 to the data 1A. Then the data 2E is written in the file 2. When an editing data 2D is written in the file 2, the file 2 is connected to a display for execution of the proofreading. Thus it is possible to retrieve and correct easily an erroneous area by the retrieving key information. When the proofreading is over, the file 2 is replaced with a file 1 to perform the editing work again. |
