PURPOSE:To perform quickly a coorelative operation between two pairs of data columns, by delivering the data of the two pairs of data columns to a transfer stage alternately and in time series to perform a correlative operation. CONSTITUTION:The data of two pairs of data columns a1, a2... and b1, b2... are delivered from a photoelectric converting element column 103 alternately and in time series and then fed to shift registers 512-518 via a sample holding circuit 500. The blocks 521-524 deliver the absolute value of the difference of outputs of the registers 512-518. The outputs of these blocks are fed to a totalizing part 540 via switches 531-538. The output of the part 540 is fed to a maximum correlative position detecting part 550. Then the value corresponding to the position where the maximum correlation is given is delivered to an output terminal 560. |
