PURPOSE:To shorten the period necessary for stopping and restarting an inverter device by inserting a resistor when the inverter fails in commutation, thereby reducing a DC current flowing through the inverter. CONSTITUTION:A switch 14 is provided in series with a DC power source 1, and a resistor 15 is connected further in parallel with this switch 14. When an inverter 5 fails in commutation, the switch 14 is opened, and the current Id flowing through the switch 14 is shifted to the resistor 15. When the resistor 15 is inserted into the DC circuit, the DC current Id abruptly decreases. Accordingly, the current Id flowing through the inverter 5 becomes smaller than the current at the commutation failing time, and the inverter 5 is accordingly immediately recovered from the commutation failure. |
