PURPOSE:To confirm the result of reception by an originator, by converting a recognized data into a sound signal and returning it to the transmission side, in a facsimile device having a character recognizing function. CONSTITUTION:A picture signal and a transmission control signal transmitted to a facsimile device FB are applied to a facsimile circuit 4 via a switching circuit 6, and this output signal is stored in a memory circuit 7. A character recognizing circuit 8 outputs a corresponding code signal CC to the circuit at the next stage and applies it to a sound response circuit 5. The circuit 5 outputs a sound signal Sv corresponding to the code signal CC. This signal Sv is applied to a telephone terminal 2 via the switching circuit 6, a line L and a switching circuit 3. Thus, the operator of a facsimile FA can confirm the result of reception of the device FB by sound. |
