PURPOSE:To realize an automatic equalizer being highly stable and having a simple constitution, by forming a self-feedback loop in a tap coefficient control circuit and selecting the delay time of a transversal equalizer so that the phase between taps can satisfy a specific relation even if an offset takes place in the carrier frequency. CONSTITUTION:When a reset signal from an asynchronism detection circuit 45 is 1(synchronizing state), an AND/NAND gate 111 sets on an AND gate 112, a correlation signal for the correction of tap coefficient, ER, EI is applied to an integrator 120 to obtain a tap coefficient output. When the reset signal is 0 (asynchronous), the gate 112 is set on and a gate 113 is set off, a self-feedback loop from the output to the input of the integrator 120 is formed, a capacitor 124 is discharged and the tap coefficient is reset. Through this function, the locking characteristics of an automatic equalizer can be improved to keep stable synchronism. |
