PURPOSE:To enable to use the pump as an automatic pump capable of being started or stopped at a predetermined water level by utilzing a small-sized equipment by a method wherein a float type water level detecting device accommodating a contactless switching element, having a TRIAC AC switch as the main body therefor, in the holder thereof is provided. CONSTITUTION:When the underwater pump A is used as the automatic type, the base 5' of an attaching holder 5 for the switching element 9 is arranged at the outlet 3 of the cord for the electric source of the pump A to connect the outlet cords or the like of the element 9 and the side of the pump A, thereafter, they are fixed integrally by bolts through a packing 4 and a pressing cover 14. In case such underwater pump A is installed in a water tank, when the water level is increased gradually and is arrived at an upper limit, the operating piece 8 of an upper side float 7 is descended and a lead switch 6 is closed thereby outputting an output from the element 9 accommodating the triode AC switch and driving the pump A. On the contrary, when the water level is arrived at the lower limit, the lead switch 6 at the side of the lower side float 7 is closed and thereby stopping the pump A. |
