PURPOSE:To enable continuous production of dried electrodes to be performed, by drying a lattice, which is equipped with a mat and filled with paste, in heating and pressurizing processes based on specified conditions in this drying process. CONSTITUTION:when an expanding lattice being supplied to a belt 4, a mat made mainly of glass fiber of 1mu or less in fibrous diameter is also supplied by a roller 5 to be disposed on the lower plane of the expanding lattice. A paste filling machine 6 then feeds paste, with which the expanding lattice is filled. A mat made mainly of glass fiber of 1mu or less in fibrous diameter is then supplied by a roller 7 to be disposed on the upper plane of the expanding lattice. while steam being sprayed from injection nozzles 10 in an enclosed chamber 9, the lattice is pressed by a roller 11, and dried in heating and pressurizing conditions of 100-300 deg.C in temperature and 10 kg/cm<2> or more in pressure, so that a non-chemicalized electrode plate for a lead storage battery can be obtained. Continuous production and widely reduced time for manufacturing the plate can be hence realized. |
